Hello Everyone, and a very warm welcome to the Youth Cricket page of our website.

Our under 9s, under 11s and under 13s train on Friday evenings from 6.30pm to 8pm, starting with registration for the 2024 season on 12th April (6pm start on 12th!!) and these Friday night sessions continue until early September.

The under 9s and under 11s play matches on Sunday mornings with a 10am start. The under 13s now play on Tuesday evenings (as of the 2021 season) with a 6pm start time.

Since starting the Youth section in 2007 we have gone from strength to strength, attracting boys and girls of all abilities from ages 7 to 15 and were awarded Focus Club status by Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in 2013.

In 2017 we joined the new ECB All-Stars scheme which is designed for the 5-8 year old age group with the aim of attracting younger children to the game by giving them an introduction to cricket based primarily on the fun aspects rather than any more serious coaching and training. We will hopefully be running the scheme again in 2021 - keep an eye out here for more information.

Our dedicated qualified coaches' main aim is to make cricket fun for all and play the game in the right spirit, whether training, playing friendly matches or league matches.

Any boys or girls that show a higher level of ability can be put forward to district or county trials at the end of each summer. We are very proud that we have have had 2 players represent county and 7 represent the district in the short time since we formed the youth section.

As a result of our success in developing our youth section we now have a number of players now who have made the transition to senior cricket, playing in our Saturday 1st XI and 2nd XI and Sunday teams.

Please come along and bring your parents and have some FUN!! You could get them playing in the seniors, and one day be playing in the same team together!
